Our network of more than 1,000 laboratories and offices and over 44,000 people in more than 100 countries, delivers innovative and bespoke Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification solutions for our customers’ operations and supply chains. The Intertek story starts at the inception of the modern testing industry.

The history of Intertek goes back over 130 years, and evolves from the combined growth of a number of innovative companies.

Our global coordination centre is housed at the former office of Lintec Testing Services Ltd, itself acquired by Intertek in 2005, based at Darlington in the UK.

Lintec Testing Services focused on the analysis of bunker fuel samples and continued to do so for some time.

The advent of Intertek Lintec saw the number of services offered, and coordinated, from this office expand to encompass Intertek’s global network of state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and industry-leading technical expertise.
